Whole Lotta Led
Bands around the world are able to continue touring, thanks to their adoring fans who will happily purchase concert tickets to many of their shows. People love live music and better yet, they love live music from their favourite bands – making the gig experience hard to beat.
But long after the band have finished touring the world, tribute bands continue to allow fans of the original band to hear their songs as close to the genuine sound as possible. It means that it is possible to buy music tickets to many kinds of acts, and hear something genuinely special.
One such tribute band is Whole Lotta Led, who will be bringing the hits of Led Zeppelin to Edinburgh’s HMV Picture House in October. Ditching the style of many tribute acts and leaving the costumes and wigs behind, Whole Lotta Led have spent a long time trying hard to sound as close to the original band as possible. It means it will be like witnessing Robert Plant and co. for real, leading to a lasting memory.
They started life performing covers of many bands, but it was the Led Zeppelin covers that stood out, so by 1996 this band were devoted to this band, and they have never looked back – and neither have their fans.
